The Multi-Passionate Blueprint: How to Build Cohesive Brands

If you’ve ever thought about starting a blog, becoming a content creator, or starting a business, you’ve probably been given the same advice: niche down. For me, being told to “niche down” is the same as being told to “be bored.” I have too many interests, too many passions, and too many vibes to pick just one. So, what if you’re also like me? I give you the Multi-Passionate Blueprint. This is how to build cohesive brands when you don’t want to just stay in one lane.

The way I see it, my brand isn’t a single room. It’s a whole house with different wings. I’m not just an Event Coordinator or a REALTOR. Or just a wife or a dog mom. I’m a Senior Strategist who happens to apply that same thought process to whatever I’m building, whether it’s homes, brands, or stories.

the common thread

When thinking about how I wanted to brand the many facets of my career, I realized I needed to at least keep things cohesive. I did this by picking a ‘common thread.’ That way, even if the colors, fonts, or logos are slightly different, they each have a shared vibe: Modern Coastal, a touch of Old Florida, and some Strategic Softness.

By using a mostly consistent, cohesive palette across my blog, future podcast (someday!), real estate website, and freelance website, I’m creating three smaller ‘buckets’ under one big brand. I use pretty much the same shade of off-white for backgrounds, and almost all of my brands use brass as an accent color. I love brass fixtures, so it just felt right!

the ‘confession’ umbrella

Another tip is to break the work into smaller pieces, while keeping it under the same umbrella. When I rebranded my blog (again), I finally stopped trying to niche down. Instead, I let myself bring all my muses to the table. This way, I’m able to categorize my different passions so they don’t feel cluttered. Not just ‘blog, podcast, branding,’ but even going deeper, especially in my blog and someday podcast.

I have the Architect, where I can talk about strategy, branding, career, and finances. Then, there’s the Hostess. The baking, art classes, interior design, and hospitality side of things. Finally, I have the Confessor. The honest, authentic reflections and stories about being in the middle.

the logistics

To manage the construction or logistics of having multiple brands and passions, it’s important to use systems that scale. For real estate, that means using tools like KW Command. I also like to use project management tools like Notion or Monday to keep my ideas for each ‘project’ separate. That way, I don’t get confused about what goes where.

Also, I love that in Canva, you can save your brand standards to easily apply to projects you create! I have one brand template for my travel agent things, one for real estate, one for my freelance site, and one for my blog and podcast. It’s a lot, I know, but it helps me stay organized!

Finally, having a 4-day workweek mentality really helps me, too. My ‘strategist’ approach is to specialize in high-value work rather than high-level management. Knowing what you want your life to look like, whether you have one brand or three, one career or four, helps to keep things focused.

The sage advice: be the ceo of your multitudes

At the end of the day, when I feel like I have too much on my plate, I remind myself that I am the brand. Whether I’m selling a house, designing a logo for a skincare company, writing a blog post, or booking a Disney trip for someone, each client gets the same energy, enthusiasm, and personality. I don’t stop being an ENFJ or Enneagram 7 just because I’m wearing a different hat that day. Creating your own multi-passionate blueprint isn’t just about learning how to build cohesive brands; it’s about remembering that the most important brand is staying authentic to who you are.
