Hey, friends. It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? If you’ve been here since my days of awkward dates and heartbreak confessions, you know that this blog has always been a safe space for all kinds of talk. And if you’re new, hi, I’m Madeline. I’m so glad you’re here.
I am –
- A former dating blogger
- An events coordinator, realtor, wife, life coach in training, and dog mom to a mini-Bernedoodle
- And still obsessed with romanticizing my routines, personal growth, and telling the truth, even when it’s messy.
When I started this blog during the pandemic, I was just a girl in Boston with a lot of big feelings and way too many screenshots of texts. I wrote about dating disasters, navigating my twenties, and trying to find love without losing myself. It was complicated, funny, and always authentic. Which I think does a good job of describing me, too!
As a rom-com lover, I named my blog Confessions of a Singleholic after one of my favorite movies, Confessions of a Shopaholic. Like the movie’s main character, I had a big heart, big dreams, and a lot to learn. I started my blog at the encouragement of my friends, who loved hearing my crazy dating stories over Sunday brunches.
When everyone was in lockdown, I felt like people could use a bit of levity in their lives, so I finally started to write. I was honored and excited to see how many people loved reading each week! Especially in some of my more serious chapters, such as The Narcissist, I found that many more women identified with my stories than I had originally expected. I found it comforting to write about each of those stories, and, honestly, got a good amount of closure from them, too. More than that, I loved hearing from friends I hadn’t talked to in a while, telling me that they were not just reading, but also connecting to my blog.
Since then, I’ve gotten married to the most incredible man I know, moved back to Florida to be closer to family, and spent a lot of time learning what true love really looks like, along with how to slow down and stay true to myself, even in marriage. But I’m still confessing — just with a little more maturity, a bit more wisdom, and a cup of chamomile tea instead of a glass of wine.
This next chapter is for the women who have outgrown the chaos but still crave connection. For the ones navigating marriage, self-worth, everyday routines, and the joy of growing up and becoming who you were always meant to be. I’ll be writing about…
- Marriage and relationships after the wedding
- Cozy living and rituals that ground you
- Soft, powerful personal growth
- Travel, home, and the little joys that build a beautiful life
- Honest and raw conversations – what, you thought I’d ever give those up?
So, whether you’re here for the old stories, the new perspective, or both, I hope you’ll stay awhile. Tell me what season you’re in. Tell me what you’re confessing, and what you need more of. How you’re growing, and where you’re going. And let’s do it together.

To get even more confessions, you can follow me on Instagram. Not a big social media user? You can also sign up for my email newsletter, where I’ll begin sharing even more.
Confessions aren’t something to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. They aren’t about mistakes. They’re about honesty, connection, and learning from your past to create an even more beautiful future.
Thank you so much for joining me!
